Our new entry. More than a surprise, it’s a kept promise. A wine with a forceful character, elegant, full-bodied, smooth-textured. His ageing will amaze us. His name comes from the holy place where Saint Francis used to go to pray. A solitary place enshrined by tha wood of the Subasio Montain.

Harvest period: In two steps, the Sangiovese during the second decade of september and the Cabernet Franc at the beginning of october
Maturation and aging: The Cabernet Franc in 225 Lt. French sessile oak casks for 6 months, the Sangiovese in stainless steel containers, after the bottlement 3 months of refining
Alcohol content: 13% Vol.
Colour:Intense ruby-red with a slight garnet hue
Nose: Blueberries, tabacco, liquorice, wild berries and pleasantly mineral
Palate: Full bodied, smooth enveloping tannins
Food Pairing: Perfect with the typical pairings of red wines, but with the special touch of Cabernet Franc. Good fresh in summer with our scorzone truffle, with porcini moushrooms, grilled lamb, grilled meat in general and grilled vegetables. In winter is a structured red wine, soft and round, with white minced meat of Chianina beef or pigeon, with porcini mushrooms, spelt egg pasta with melted cheese and chestnuts, but also with beans puree, chickpea or legume soups in general
